OK, got a new banner, and yep, pretty cheezy, but not so bad for a first attempt / experiment. I'll have to keep practicing and trying things. It was made with GIMP, an Open Source image editor that does a lot in its own right, but also has a ton of plugins available free to download so you can add even more functionality.
